This page contains the journalistic works of Thomas Deer. His commentaries are political in nature and focus primarily on the issues of Indigenous Peoples and world events. Most of the articles in this archive have appeared in the Eastern Door Newspaper in Kahnawake, of which Thomas is a contributing columnist. His articles have also appeared in the Indian Time, the Akwesasne Phoenix, Redwire Magazine, Kahnawake’s Revolution Magazine, and the prestigious Montreal Gazette.  Some of his articles are required reading at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
